Arthur Wright died on 28 October 1944 in Nispen, Noord-Brabant, Netherlands, when he was 29 years old.
He died in the morning of 28 October near Oostlaar during the battle to liberate Wouw. He fell together with Stanley Hurst, Alfred Murrell and Charles Price, all troopers from the B Squadron 49th Reconnaissance Regiment. Luitenenant S. Probert was evecuated with wounds during that fight.
