BERGEN-OP-ZOOM WAR CEMETERY 7. C. 19.
When Charles Edward Price was born in April 1917 in Hay, Breconshire, his father, Frank, was 28 and his mother, Edith, was 22. He had two brothers.
He died in the morning of 28 October at the age of 27 near Oostlaar during the battle to liberate Wouw. He fell together with Arthur Wright, Alfred Murrell and Stanley Hurst, all troopers from the B Squadron 49th Reconnaissance Regiment. Luitenenant S. Probert was evecuated with wounds during that fight.
Interesting to note on the temporary war memorial in Nispen, the name was mentioned as Price S instead of Price C by error.
He was burried on land 100 yards west from the railroadcrossing at Grensstraat in Nispen. After the war his body was exhumed and reburied at the Bergen-op-Zoom English War Cemetery, Noord-Brabant, Netherlands.
